Conscience Update

The U.S. Bishops have responded to the perceived "accomodation" of the Obama administration to conscience objections of Catholics and other religious groups to their mandate regarding insurance coverage for contraception, sexual sterilization, and the "morning-after" abortifacient pill.  To hear the bishops' continued objection and take action, visit www.usccb.org/conscience .

Take Action Now!

In an unprecedented violation of religious liberty, the US Department of Health and Human Services in January issued a mandate that all employers, even Catholic employers, must provide for their employees full insurance coverage for so-called therapies and procedures (birth control, sexual sterilizations, and abortifacients), which violate the dignity of the human person.  Archbishop Aymond is calling on all Catholics in the Archdiocese to take action now to oppose this unconstitutional action by the federal government.  To find out more about this issue and how to take action, please visit www.usccb.org/conscience .

Building Project Finances

You can now view a spreadsheet providing a summary of our building project's finances, from the very beginning to the present.  This summary provides totals of each expense and income category, as well as the project's budget (Phase I and II).  The spreadsheet also tracks our progress toward the financial goals which will trigger Phase II construction.  Check it our by clicking here.

Make Room for Christ!

marykissingjesus

One of the favorite sayings of Blessed John Paul II was "Make room for Christ!"  Our busy, cluttered lives, hearts, and relationships can easily crowd out our Catholic faith, as well as the presence of Christ in the needy, the newcomer, and the stranger.
