Being an altar server, as the late Pope John Paul II has addressed in his General Audience on August 1, 2001, “occupies a privileged place in the liturgical celebration”. In other words, the altar server is more than just simple “helpers of the parish priest.” You have a very important and key role in the success of each and every Mass whether it is weekday or Sunday (or any other) Masses.
