Dear Family and Friends of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School,
We have all heard the phrase “When the going gets tough, the tough get going!” How true this is of our school community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. The past two years tried our patience, demanded of us greater charity toward one another, and forced us to come together for the common good. The Coronavirus Pandemic and the aftermath of Hurricane Ida have tested our resolve! But, to paraphrase St. Paul, “we are more than conquerors because of Him who loves us!”
The reason for our school is Jesus Christ. Yes, we have great academics, a family atmosphere, and a wonderful faculty and staff. However, SEAS exists because of who we are as followers of Jesus Christ! It is Jesus who not only got us through the past two years but has put us on such an amazing path for the coming year!
We are going to be 500+ students for the 2022-2023 school year (the largest size since before Hurricane Katrina); we have full classes and waiting lists for those families who really want to be here; and, we are on our way in implementing our 5-year strategic plan: Renewed Vision: Boldly Catholic | Academically Excellent | Rooted in Truth! Goals met and goals yet to be conquered! In good times and in bad, the Lord is here to support us and lead us to even greater things!
It is my prayer that God may watch over our students, parents, teachers, and administrators and grants us all the grace of wisdom and understanding, patience and abundant charity throughout this new school year.
Welcome back and may God bless you this coming school year!
Fr. Robert T. Cooper, Pastor
