Louisiana Music Educators Association (LMEA): District VI Honor Choir Rehearsals and Concert

As part of our ongoing concert series, Divine Mercy Parish Music Ministry is pleased to host the Louisiana Music Educators Association (LMEA) District VI Honor Choir rehearsals and concert. Back for its first event since the COVID-19 pandemic, this annual event features gifted young choral singers from across our district (Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard Parishes), chosen by school music teachers and members of the LMEA Vocal Division for participation in the district honor choir. Comprised of 50-75 students each, a Youth Choir and a Senior High Choir will participate in several rigorous rehearsals leading up to a closing concert to be held in the church at 6:30pm on Saturday, January 28th. Concert admission is free and open to all. A love offering will be collected to benefit Divine Mercy Concert Series and Music Ministry in our efforts to bring additional quality musical events to our parish.
