At Divine Mercy, we believe that the family is the foundational place where all faith formation and sacramental preparation is rooted. The goal of this program is to encourage and support parents in their role as primary educators of their children, by virtue of their own example of faith, and to offer catechesis for the whole family so the faith can be better expressed and lived out in the home.
This year, we will be utilizing a program called A Family of Faith by Sophia Institute. This is a four part series that follows the structure of the Catechism and provides opportunties for families to grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ and His Church through age-appropriate activities and communal events that take place both in person and at home. Family Faith Formation meets twice a month on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Those also enrolled in First Communion Prep or RCIC will meet one additional time per month to focus specifically on the sacraments. At least one parent is required to attend all meetings with their child in order to best enhance the life of faith in your child.
We are excited for you to join us for a wonderful and fruitful experience this year!
